Gardaí and military police are today investigating the discovery of a man's body inside Government Buildings late last night.
The body was discovered at about 11.30pm inside the military police headquarters at Government Buildings.
The body is that of a 50-year-old corporal with the Defence Forces who was on duty when he died.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
The Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, Lieut Gen Sean McCann, today extended his deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased.
