Man for court over Wexford crash

A man is due in court today charged in connection with a fatal crash in Courtown, Co Wexford last month.

A man is due in court today charged in connection with a fatal crash in Courtown, Co Wexford last month.

Mark Farrell (19), Cushlawn Estate, Tallaght, was staying in the Courtown area when the car in which he was travelling with two others smashed through a wall at Courtown Harbour and entered the sea on June 15th.

His two companions managed to swim ashore but Mr Farrell, who was in the back of the vehicle, died.

The 19-year-old suspect was arrested in the Wexford area yesterday over the crash and taken to Gorey Garda station.

He will appear before Gorey District Court this morning.
