A man is due in court today charged with attempted murder after a serious assault in Portstewart, Co Derry, at the weekend.
The attack, on the Coleraine Road, was reported shortly after 9.00pm on Saturday. The victim sustained serious head and face injuries
The accused (26) is expected to appear at North Antrim Magistrates Court in Coleraine.
