Man for court over Carlow shooting

A man in his forties is due in court this evening in connection with a shooting in Carlow earlier this week.

A man in his forties is due in court this evening in connection with a shooting in Carlow earlier this week.

The shooting, in which a 25 year-old man sustained an injury to his abdomen and to his knee, took place at a house on Burrin Road, Carlow, some time after 2.30am on Tuesday morning.

The injured man was taken to St. Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny to be treated for his injuries.

The man is due to appear at a special sitting of Carlow District Court this evening.
