Man flown to hospital after NI fall

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling on rocks and into the sea on the County Down coast near Ardglass.

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling on rocks and into the sea on the County Down coast near Ardglass.

An Irish Coastguard helicopter and lifeboat crews were involved in the rescue operation close to Shepland Harbour.

The man fell around 10 metres, a Coastguard spokesman said.

He has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
