Man fatally stabbed in Tallaght row named

The man who died after being stabbed in west Dublin last night has been named as Gary Wisely, a 22-year-old man from Knocklyon in Dublin south.

It is understood Mr Wisely had been involved in a row outside a pub in Jobstown and he was stabbed a number of times eventually collapsing on Swiftbrook Avenue.

He died at the Adelaide Meath Hospital in Tallaght at around 4 am.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Swiftbrook area of Jobstown between 1am and 5am and who may have information to contact them at Tallaght Garda Station on 01-6666000.

There were no arrests.
