Man due in court over Kerry murders

A 30-year-old man charged with the murder of a father and son at their Kerry farmhouse last week is due back in court today.

A 30-year-old man charged with the murder of a father and son at their Kerry farmhouse last week is due back in court today.

Thomas Barrett, with an address at Cleandries, Causeway, Co Kerry, is charged with the murder of Michael Hanrahan (60) and his son Denis (27) at their home at Gortdromsallihy, Moyvane, on March 26th.

He appeared before a special sitting of Listowel District Court on Sunday.

Judge Mary O'Halloran remanded Mr Barrett in custody at Cork Prison to appear again at Listowel District Court today.

Thousands of people attended the removal of the two men last night. They  are being buried today at Murhur.
