Gardaí are investigating a fatal collision in Westmesth in which one man was killed and two others were seriously injured.
The collision happened at 7.15am this morning. The driver was killed and his two passengers (one female one male) were seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling in was in collision with a truck on the Mullingar side of Ballinalack.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured. The injured pair are in the Longford/Westmeath hospital.
