A man in his 20s died when his car struck a bridge in Co Waterford in the early hours of this morning.
The crash happened on Cheekpoint Road, Waterford at about 1.10am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital.
He was alone in the car and no one else was injured.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda forensic investigators.
