A man has been killed in a workplace accident in Co Tipperary.

A man has been killed in a workplace accident in Co Tipperary.

The 35-year-old man died after reportedly falling down a stairwell at the Tipperary Mineral Water plant in Borrisoleigh.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Nenagh General Hospital for a postmortem examination.

A spokesman for the Health and Safety Authority said Gleeson Group, which operates the plant, is cooperating fully with its inquiry into the incident.
