Man dies in Tipperary house fire

A 62-year-old man was killed and his sister was critically injured after a house fire at their home in Co Tipperary.

A 62-year-old man was killed and his sister was critically injured after a house fire at their home in Co Tipperary.

The blaze broke out at the house in the townland of Munnia, Killoscully at about 5.00am today.

The 64-year-old woman was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital and later transferred to Cork University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Fire crews and scenes of crime officers are investigating the cause of the blaze, which is not believed to be suspicious.
