Man dies in Meath road incident

A man was killed in a Co Meath road incident last night.

A man was killed in a Co Meath road incident last night.

According to gardaí, the male pedestrian (53) was fatally injured after he was struck by a car on the N2 at Bullstown, The Ward, at 11.05pm yesterday.

His body has been removed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where a postmortem will take place later today. Gardaí at Ashbourne are investigating.

The road is closed and is being examined by Garda investigators. Diversions are in place.
