Man dies in Limerick two-car collision

A man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Co Limerick last night.

A man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Co Limerick last night.

According to gardaí, the crash happened on the N21 at Ballintubbrid, Newcastle West, Co Limerick, shortly after 11.30pm last night.

A male driver (36) died when his car collided with a sports utility vehicle. The two occupants of the SUV were uninjured.

The man's body has been was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.

The road was closed for a time but reopened at 6am.
