A man has died after the van he was driving crashed into a wall at Shannon Road, Portumna, Co Galway this afternoon.
The man, who was in his 50s, was the sole occupant of the van. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe.
The crash happened at 2.30pm today and the scene has been examined by garda forensic collision investigators.
