A man died this morning after a car crash in the Dublin suburb of Rathfarnham.
The man in his 30s was the driver of the car which hit a pole on Ballyroan Road at 1.40 a.m. He has not yet been named.
Two passengers in the car were seriously injured in the crash and taken to Tallaght hospital. A third passenger escaped injury.
Meanwhile, gardai have named the man who died in a crash with a truck one mile on the Mullingar side of Ballinalack, Co Offaly. He was Martin McCreanor or Farragh, Cullyfad, Killoe, Co Longford.
