Man dies in early morning Co Meath crash

A man in his 30s has died following a road crash in Co Meath shortly after midnight this morning.

A man in his 30s has died following a road crash in Co Meath shortly after midnight this morning.

The crash happened on the Dunderry to Athboy Road at Meadstown, Dunderry, Co Meath, at around 12.45am.

According to a Garda spokesman, the car collided with a tree. The victim, a local man, was pronounced dead at Navan hospital a short time later.

To date 204, people have died on roads in the Republic since the beginning of this year.
