A man in his 20s was killed after the car in which he was a passenger struck a wall on the Ballyboggan Rd in Dublin last night.
The driver of the car was brought to the Mater Hospital in Dublin where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The death brings to 59 the number killed on the State's roads so far this year, according to Garda statistics.
