Gardaí in Co Cork are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal overnight traffic collision in the county.
A 20 year-old man was fatally injured when the motor cycle he was riding hit a pole at Colla Road Schull, Co Cork, shortly after midnight.
The deceased was removed to Cork University Hospital. Gardaí are examining the scene and traffic diversions are in place.
Gardai at Schull are appealing for witnesses to the collision and for anyone who may have been on the Colla Road, Schull between midnight and 12.30am and may have witnessed the collision to contact Schull Station.
