A 50-year-old man has died in a car crash in Co Longford.
The van he was travelling in hit a ditch at about 8.20pm last night at Fostragh, Co Longford.
A Garda spokesman said the road remained closed pending a technical examination.
Gardai at Granard are seeking witnesses to the crash.
The man's death brings to three the number of people who have died on the State’s roads since the start of the year.
