Gardaí in Athlone are investigating a fatal road crash that occurred at around 10am this morning off the N61 at Curraghboy Road near Athlone.
The 18 year old male sole occupant of a car was killed when he lost control of the car and collided with a ditch.
His body has been removed to Roscommon County Hospital.
