A 27-year-old man died in hospital in Dublin today from injuries sustained in a house fire earlier this week.
The victim was taken to St James's Hospital following the blaze at his home in McDermott Street, Ballina, on Wednesday.
A 66-year-old man was arrested in the wake of the fire but was released without charge yesterday.
Gardai are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions and investigations are continuing.
