A man in his 40s has died following a house fire in Cork City.
The man was removed from the house in Ballycureen, Frankfield, shortly after 9pm last night.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital suffering from severe burns where he died three hours later.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and a Garda technical team is to examine the house later today.
