A man in his twenties has died following a stabbing incident in Dublin last night.

A man in his twenties has died following a stabbing incident in Dublin last night.

Gardaí from Blanchardstown Station are investigating the attack which occurred in the early hours of this morning at Whitestown Walk, Whitestown, Dublin 15.

The victim, a 23 year-old man, was taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí are questioning a 35 year-old man at Blanchardstown station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
