Man dies after Westmeath crash

Gardaí are investigating a road crash in Co Westmeath that resulted in the death of a  25-year-old man.

Gardaí are investigating a road crash in Co Westmeath that resulted in the death of a  25-year-old man.

The incident took place shortly after 6am on August 8th at Balroe, Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath.

The man was injured when the car he was driving crashed into a wall.

He was taken to Mullingar General Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after 4.00pm yesterday.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Ballynacargy Garda Station on 044-9373122.
