Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Tipperary this afternoon in which a male driver in his early 20’s was fatally injured.
The crash happened at Kilmastulla, Birdhill, Co Tipperary at 4.15 pm when the car the man was travelling in hit a truck.
The driver of the truck was taken to Nenagh General Hospital suffering from shock.
The body of the dead man was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place.
The road at the scene (N7) remains closed.
