A man was shot and killed in Limerick city tonight.
The shooting happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the Moyross area of the city.
The man in his early 20s was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital but died just after 10 p.m.
The man has not yet been named. The state pathologist has been asked to carry out a post mortem.
