A MAN who planned to get married in October has been crushed to death in a work related accident in Cooperhill, Julianstown Co Meath.

Patrick Kennedy (27), from Brookville, Drogheda, died after nine granite slabs fell and crushed him.

Gardai said it appeared he had moved behind a pile of the slabs and was just feet from his employer when they fell.

The accident happened at about 6 p.m. on Monday.
