A 31-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an overnight incident in Co Tyrone.
The man sustained the serious injuries in the James Street area of Cookstown. Police did not disclose any further details about the circumstances of the incident.
Another man in his 20s has been arrested.
Detectives have appealed for anyone in the James Street area between midnight and 1am to come forward.
