A family was comforted by friends and relatives yesterday after a father of two died suddenly when he collapsed at the grave of his father in a Co Monaghan cemetery.
Patrick McVicar (51), a former well known Ulster GAA footballer and medallist, from Cremartin, Castleblayney, collapsed at the grave of his father, Kevin McVicar, at St Michael’s Cemetery, Annyalla, after an anniversary service for his father in nearby St Michael’s church.
Mr McVicar’s father died nearly 15 years ago.
