BLACON - A 30 year old man will appear in court today charged with the murder and rape of nine year old Kayleigh Ward whose partially clothed body was found in the River Dee on Tuesday, nine weeks after she disappeared from her home in Chester.
Detectives were told of the find just a few minutes after they had arrested Mr John Anthony O'Shaughnessy from Blacon, Chester. Det Supt David Jones, who leads the inquiry, said the two events were a coincidence and totally unconnected.
