Man charged with murder

A man was charged yesterday with murdering a neighbour who was found stabbed to death at his home in Belfast at the weekend. Mr George Elliott (29), of Annadale Grove, was accused of murdering Mr Robert McConnell (46), who lived at Annadale Drive. A detective inspector told the Magistrate's Court that Mr Elliott made no reply to the charge. He was remanded in custody until February 29th.
