Man charged with abusing girl (4)

A 58-year-old Cork bachelor charged with sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in north Cork on October 5th was yesterday remanded in custody with consent to bail by Judge John Clifford at Mallow District Court. Mr James Lucey, solicitor for the defendant, told the court that he had hoped to have two psychiatrists in court to give evidence on the man's unsuitability to plead but one had proven uncontactable over the weekend and the other was unavailable.
