Man charged over Wicklow killing

A 22-year-old Wicklow man has appeared at Arklow court charged with the murder of Charles Sinapayen on June 1st this year.

A 22-year-old Wicklow man has appeared at Arklow court charged with the murder of Charles Sinapayen on June 1st this year.

Declan Sheridan, Sugarloaf View, Sea Road, Kilcoole, had nothing to say in reply when charged by Sgt. Derek Maguire who told the court that he had arrested the accused on yesterday at 5pm at Ballywaltrim Heights, Bray.

French man Charles Sinapayen died in Beaumount hospital, three days after a shooting incident at 24 Richmond Hill, Fassaroe, Bray, on May 29th.

The defendant was granted free legal aid by Judge Murrough Connellan and he was remanded in custody to Cloverhill court on June 17th.
