A man was charged with intimidation and making threats to kill tonight by police investigating a father’s death at the hands of a mob.

Catholic father-of-four Kevin McDaid was killed near his home in Somerset Drive in the Heights area of Coleraine, Northern Ireland, in May last year.

His friend Damien Fleming was also badly injured in the Co Derry town.

The suspect, aged 21, was arrested in Coleraine today and will appear at Antrim Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
