A man has appeared in Dundalk District Court today charged in connection with a shooting in which an 18-year-old man was injured.
The incident happened shortly after 10am yesterday in the Muirhevenamor area.
Gardaí are investigating reports of alleged criminal damage in the area on Saturday and Sunday which are thought to be related to the shooting.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the criminal damage inquiry. One man in his teens appeared before Dundalk District Court earlier today in relation to the incident and has been remanded.
