The 43-year-old is to appear in court this evening.

Another man and a woman who were arrested in connection with the robbery outside the Rathfarnham Shopping Centre have been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

An undisclosed sum of money was taken during the incident, in which a staff member was approached by a man holding a gun at the shopping centre on Butterfield Avenue at about 12.45pm. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.

The raider escaped with cash in a red Skoda Octavia, which was driven by a male accomplice. The car was later found on fire at Springfield Avenue in Templeogue.
