A man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with the death of convicted criminal John Wilson in Dublin last week.

Wilson (35), a drug dealer with a firearms conviction, was shot a number of times at a house on Cloverhill Road, Ballyfermot last Friday afternoon.

Keith O'Neill (37), of no fixed abode,  appeared before Dublin District Court charged with his murder.

He  was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on October 12th.

Four other men were arrested and a car impounded on Wednesday by gardaí investigating the murder.
