A man was charged in Belfast yesterday following the abduction of a man from his home in the north of the city on Monday. The victim was later found injured at Lower Ballyboley Road, Larne, Co Antrim.
Mr Owen David Workman (23), from Magheramourne, Larne, was remanded in custody on charges of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, causing grievous bodily harm and membership of the UVF.
