A man has been charged in relation to the seizure of more than €400,000 worth of drugs including cocaine and cannabis at a house in Carlow at the weekend.

Billy Farrell (21), Upper Tomard, Bilbao, Co Carlow, appeared before Kilkenny District Court yesterday. He is charged with possession with intent to sell or supply cocaine worth €270,000.

Judge William Harnett remanded him on bail on his own bond of €2,000 and a surety of €20,000, with 50 per cent to be lodged in court, to appear again at Carlow District Court today.
