In what is believed to be Northern Ireland's first case of alleged stalking, a Co Tyrone labourer has been in court at Cookstown. Mr Robert Boyd (46) from Fairfield, Dungannon, is accused of assault causing actual bodily harm to a woman in her late 20s.

A married man with a family, Mr Boyd was remanded on bail until December 18th by Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday. It is alleged that the offence took place over a two year period ending last Christmas.
