A 37 year old man appeared before a special sitting of Kenmare District Court, Co Kerry, late last night in connection with a sexual assault in the Castleisland area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The assault took place on the outskirts of the town at around 3 a.m. The woman involved received medical treatment and has now been released from hospital. The man charged in connection with the incident was arrested by gardai yesterday evening and was held in Killarney Garda station. He was remanded to Cork Prison.
