Man charged after drugs seizure in Kells

A man has appeared before Kells District Court in connection with a drugs seizure in Kells, Co Meath.

A man has appeared before Kells District Court in connection with a drugs seizure in Kells, Co Meath.

The 33-year-old was charged with having drugs for the purpose of sale or supply after gardaí found cannabis plants growing in a shed close to a house in the town last Friday night.

In a follow-up search at another house in Kells on Friday gardaí found a quantity of drugs which they believe to be amphetamine. The combined value of the drugs seized was estimated at €30,000.

The man charged was released after the court sitting yesterday.
