GARDAI are pursuing a definite line of inquiry in the case of a woman who died on Saturday, nine days after receiving burns in an incident at her home in Finglas, Dublin.

Ms Mary McKinney (50) died in St James's Hospital where she was being treated for first degree burns caused by exposure to a substance, possibly caustic soda.

Gardai have interviewed a man about the incident and a file is expected to be sent to the DPP.
