Gardai in Drogheda arrested a 28-year-old local man under the Drug Trafficking Act after a packet, believed to contain cannabis resin, was seized just outside the town on Monday afternoon. The substance was taken to Dublin for analysis. If it is cannabis it would have an estimate street value of £50,000.
