Man arrested over stabbing in Armagh city

A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Armagh last night after a stabbing.

A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Armagh last night after a stabbing.

The stabbing took place in the Creevroe area just after 8pm. One man was taken to hospital with a wound to his upper arm.

In another incident, a young man was attacked twice in Bangor early this morning. "He was first set upon by a female with ginger hair", a PSNI spokesman said. He was later attacked by up to five men

The 17-year-old was attacked as he walked along Victoria Road in the town with a friend.
