Gardaí arrested a man yesterday morning in connection with a murder in Louth last year and are detaining him under legislation introduced to deal with gangland related crime.

The man, who is aged 30, was arrested just after 7am in Drogheda. He is the third person arrested in relation to the murder of Séamus McMahon (41) at Bóthar Chroinn, Dundalk, on March 21st, 2010. Mr McMahon died after being shot in a house.
