A man has been arrested in Co Cavan after a Garda raid that uncovered a large amount of cannabis.
The arrest followed a search by the Garda Divisional Drugs Unit of a house in a Virginia estate.
The man was taken to Cavan Garda Station for questioning.
Gardaí did not reveal the exact quantity of cannabis.
The operation was part of a stepping up of the Garda anti-drugs campaign over the Christmas season.
