A man was arrested last night after 100 cannabis plants were found in a house in Clarmallagh, The Swan, Co Laois.
The plants were being cultivated in the house and have an estimated street value of €40,000.
The man, in his 40s, is being held at Portlaoise Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
