Man arrested over Antrim robbery

A man was arrested after a cash-in-transit van robbery in Lisburn, Co Antrim this morning.

A man was arrested after a cash-in-transit van robbery in Lisburn, Co Antrim this morning.

A security guard was pushed to the ground in the Belsize Road area at about 9am. The attacker escaped with the cash box containing a significant sum of money.

Police stopped a white van on the Barnfield Road 20 minutes later and recovered the box intact. A man aged in his 30s was arrested.

Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them. They believe two other men were involved.
