TOKYO - Police arrested a man yesterday they suspect of threatening to spread the E. coli food poisoning bacterium by injecting his infected body fluids into baked goods. Mr Tokiyuki Asaoka was arrested on suspicion of attempted extortion after admitting he sent Yamazaki Baking Co a note saying he would spread the bacterium in Yamazaki retail foods unless the company paid him $550,500.
